This Week on TikTok: Show, Don't Tell
A round-up of five TikTok hits you may have missed
So, I’m trying something a little new!
This post contains embeds of five recent TikTok videos I’ve posted (though ‘recent’ may be stretching it for this one, as I wanted to catch you up on some previous content from a little longer ago).
Each week, I will share one video that I think has some important talking points about the craft of writing. I’ll then share four additional posts related to the same topic - behind the paywall.
All of these posts are available on TikTok for free, but if you’re a) not a TikTok user or b) not inclined to go searching for things, then upgrading will let you see beyond the paywall and watch them all in one convenient place.
Alright, enough explanation - let’s see how it works in action and go from there!
Show, Don’t Tell
My highlighted video this week is the last from a series I did of 30 Days of Fiction Writing Tips - a stunt I won’t be repeating any time soon, as it’s so time-consuming! This was shot on an old phone and with no microphone, so I’m happy to say my set-up has vastly improved since.
Enjoyed that one? I have 2 more tips from the same series, and 2 from my series of non-fiction writing tips, after this paywall. Feel free to leave me a comment below on whether you like this new post format, or even what you’d like to see me record in the future!
