You did not disappoint!!!! Whoa, go, Keaton, go! I loved that he finally spoke up and that the whole situation took a huge turn. I'm really looking forward to the next installment! Why can't I read it now? <sigh> Just on a personal reading kind of input note, I'd have bought the ebook at any point after reading the first two chapters. I'd still buy it this far into the story, if it meant that I could read the rest of the story right now. However, once I've read the whole story here, there is no incentive for me to buy the book. I am a huge fan, but I guess not that kind of fan. :) Since you collect such good data, I hope that my reading habits add to the knowledge. ;)

That is definitely a really good data point! I don't have the formatting and backend stuff done to the level of being able to publish it immediately, but I'm definitely considering putting the preorder release date for a point earlier than the finish of the serialisation, if that makes sense.

That would help. Have you ever considered just releasing it as a simple pdf? Then you don't have to use Amazon. I've also found a site called Sellify that I'm thinking of using for releasing my serialized eBooks and audiobooks. It has a monthly fee, but it's small and allows a very simple website kind of platform for selling, and cuts out the middleman. I haven't been able to fully test it out, yet, but that's my plan.

I do have some small following on Amazon, so it's helpful for me in terms of pointing past readers at my books! At least for now, I'm also using their print on demand service, so it makes sense to publish them in the same place. I would still do the same kind of backend stuff in either case anyway, so it probably wouldn't save me any time to do it direct!

That makes sense. I'm on Amazon, too, but with a completely different book series.

I just checked out Crowhill Cove on Amazon. They look good, but I was surprised that they are the same characters but meeting in different ways. How did that come about? And if someone were to purchase, would you want it to be on Amazon or TikTok, if they are there in the same way. (I've never purchased anything on TT but am game to try.)

I probably prefer TikTok simply because of the novelty factor, because I've not had any there yet haha! I'm not 100% sure it's possible to buy in the US on TikTok as I heard recently that there are separate shops for different countries, but I don't know if that's true.

As for how it came about - I felt I wasn't done with these characters, but I didn't want to break them up just to get them back together again. An alternative timeline offered the chance to play around with them again without needing to cause fake drama for plot reasons!

Very cool! That is, with what you're doing with your storyline. Tiktok, not so much, ha! Because you're right, it says you have no products, but at the top it shows you have 15 products somewhere, just none available to me.

Ah, that sucks! Although, I'm now really glad I based my market research on a UK book seller. Because it would be pretty embarassing to realise at this stage that I based everything on research targeted at an audience who can't even see the shop! I'm wanting to get them on sale on my website as well, but that will wait until I can afford to print special editions, as there won't be enough traffic going to my website to justify the effort otherwise.
